To remove the left fairing you need to accomplish the following in order: You can alter the order some but I found this worked easiest for me to keep from having to move all my tools and such. The following instructions are all PDF files which should make it easier for you to print out the instructions should you want to take them out to the bike with you.
Remove the Inner Lower Cowl
Remove the Left Lower Cowl
Remove the Left Engine Guard Cover
Remove the left Inner Cowl
Remove the left Mirror Cover
Remove the Left Middle Cowl
Reassembly
Remove the Inner Lower Cowl
Remove the Left Lower Cowl
Remove the Left Engine Guard Cover
Remove the left Inner Cowl
Remove the left Mirror Cover
Remove the Left Middle Cowl
Reassembly
