We arose the next morning feeling a bit down that our short vacation was coming to an end. I assumed that Carole would want to ride home via Hwy via to I-80, but I under-estimated her enthusiastic approach to motorcycling. In the past she has stated that she prefers the interstate style of riding rather than back roads. But she made it clear that she wanted to enjoy the curves and twists offered by Hwy 88 and Carson Pass. So after a quick breakfast we made our way home the same way we had come in, although the ride was much warmer.
That evening Carole could talk about nothing but motorcycling. She had thoroughly conquered her concerns about technical riding and was anxious to knock out a ride over Hwy 17 to Santa Cruz, or a ride up Mt. Hamilton, and is eagerly anticipating our ride through the Bear Tooth Pass this summer. Now all I need to do is convince her that the hairpin turn on Page Mill Road isn't all that tough. Yeah... as soon as I believe it.
