Iron Butt Prep Route
We actually knocked out this ride in about 14 hours, a couple hours less than the step by step instructions at the bottom of this page indicates. Although we did not ride at consistent high rates of speed, being the law abiding citizens that we are, there were some portions where throttle control was not maintained with consideration for speed limits. After all, some ot the curves and twists are meant to be felt, not cruised. We stayed within safe limits for the most part. We simply did not get off the bikes except for fuel and a photo opportunity.
